Free agents Titans should target after 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL Draft is over, and the Tennessee Titans did a pretty good job adding young talent that could develop into future contributors. Obviously, the class is headlined by quarterback Cam Ward, who will be Tennessee’s starter on Day 1 and is already igniting a ton of excitement into the organization and fanbase.

Though the draft is over, the Titans could still make some moves and acquire a few pieces through free agency. That said, here are four free agents general manager Mike Borgonzi should target after the events of the draft.

According to Over the Cap, the Titans have $38 million in cap space.

Offensive Tackle Jedrick Wills Jr.

The Titans already know who their starting tackles will be, as Dan Moore Jr. will be at left tackle while JC Latham moves back to his college position at right tackle. However, Tennessee’s depth at the position is poor, as Jaelyn Duncan and John Ojukwu can’t be relied upon.

Wills hasn’t lived up to expectations after being the No.10 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he would be a solid depth piece at left tackle behind Moore and could also play on the right side if needed. He will also be cheap to sign, as Spotrac has the Alabama product’s market value at $2.2 million for one season.

Offensive Tackle George Fant

If the Titans want a more experienced offensive lineman to serve as quality depth, Fant is their guy. The 32-year-old has started 75 games in his eight-year career and could hold his own if thrown into a starting position.

Like Wills, Fant should be cheap to sign. Additionally, this move feels like it could happen, as Fant visited the Titans facility in April, and Tennessee didn’t select an offensive tackle in the draft.

Defensive tackle Austin Johnson

How about a reunion?? Johnson played for the Titans from 2016 to 2019 but was incredibly underwhelming as a second-round pick. However, he has landed on his feet recently, establishing himself as a nice depth piece and occasional starter. He spent the 2024 campaign with the Buffalo Bills, totaling 19 tackles.

Johnson has started all 17 games twice, once with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023 and another time with the New York Giants in 2021. He isn’t a prolific pass rusher, but Johnson is a serviceable run defender who could provide depth behind Jeffery Simmons and T’Vondre Sweat.

Spotrac projects Johnson’s next contract will be for one-year at $1.7 million.

Defensive back Daryl Worley

How about another reunion?? Worley started seven games for the Titans in 2024 at safety, snagging an interception with 52 tackles and a forced fumble. Tennessee should look to bring him back to compete for a roster spot in training camp at either safety or corner.
